Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

I was a fairy for Halloween - this was a photo of me in my costume this morning!

Today was very busy. We had the Halloween party this morning at work and it started off super insane but then once we got everything laid out we were pretty good to go. I was also very productive this afternoon. We got lots of stuff done - it was great. I worked a bit tonight too. We were going to pass out some treats for the children who stopped by - but no one came. Our centre is in a "bad" part of the neighbourhood so it didn't overly surprise me that no one came.

Last night was so beautiful!

I got my painting I have been waiting for in the mail, and another sweet letter from a friend of mine. I then proceed to get a mad phone call from Stephanie. She rambled and rambled in a cute way and in the end invited me over for supper. I took over some parts for my fairy costume and we chatted. It was just really great!

I tried to work on my costume more when I got home but it wasn't a good idea because I was SO tired. I am at work right now - our program is going to start very soon. Then I have to get everything together for the Halloween party and then work tonight for Prenatal. It's going to be a very long day.

Today is going by pretty well, I'm rushing through my lunch hour because I'm hoping that I will be able to pop out early. But I'm not really sure if I will or not. Work is going well though, not too fast but not too slow. I am hoping to pop down to the dollarstore after work because I really need to pick up some more panty hose for my costume and Troy is suppose to come down and visit with me tonight!

It should be lovely but I do have to work on my costume so I hope he doesn't get bored.

Another week to begin!

So today was a pretty lovely day. I am but at the same time - not looking forward to this week. I am excited about the Halloween party and all the gatherings that will entail. I know the week is most likely go by really fast because of all the stuff I have to do.

I have to finish my fairy costume though! I have my skirt, shoes (check them) big socks, tights, eyelashes, make-up. I have to finish my shirt up (paint and add buttons) and I have to TRY and make some wings. I started to make some during this past week but it didn't get very far. I have to pick up some more panty hose and rip apart some more coat hangers and try and get those together before Wednesday morning! I may have to work Tuesday night too - so I don't know how I'll find the time. Troy may come down tomorrow night to visit.

I decided that I would stay here tonight and leave early in the morning. Troy likes it when I spend the night =]

Almost November!

The Thailand scene seems to be pretty popular around here. There is are two stores downtown that have lots of clothing and stuffs from Thailand. I love thailand's style. I ended up buying an adorable shirt yesterday too which I am wearing right now. They had some really wooden rings too at one of the stores. I could buy so many things from there! I think I'll take Troy there to do my Christmas shopping! haha!

I really need to start getting on the Christmas ball. I found this really cute children's book at a store that we went into yesterday called: How to Catch a star by Oliver Jeffers. I am thinking about buying it for someone for Christmas, I just have to think of who will be the lucky one :)

Lovely Saturday

Last night was nice. I had a nice visit with Stephanie and we went to that haunted woods thing. We had to stand in line for over an hour but it was so worth. It was so scarey and we screamed and screamed!

This morning I drove Stephanie home and then I met up with Maryann and Alana and had lunch at a cute pub down at the waterfront. Then we spent about 2 hours walking around and going to a bunch of different stores and shops. I ended up buying a really adorable shirt (and it was on sale too!) that I am really excited about. I bought some pineapple for Troy. I am visiting with him now and he did enjoy his pineapple. I think we are going to enjoy each other's company now!

Meeting Sketch

Meeting Sketch

So I usually don't sketch out anything before I paint it. I usually just take a blank canvas and just start going crazy on it. But when I am in boring situations (like my staff meeting yesterday) I do doodle and sketch a bit and sometimes I come out with some interesting things. I created this little doodle yesterday. I like the concept of the crows climbing the ladder to get to the moon. I don't know if i would put all those flowers in it if i would paint it but i like the idea of it. I do have 2 blank 16 X 20 canvases right now sitting and waiting for me. I think I am going to use one for my parent's Christmas gift but maybe I'll paint this scene on the other? Any thoughts?

The Plan!

I never really understood how a diet patch worked. After reading a bit on this website I have been cleared up a little bit. I do know that I would love to loose a little bit of weight, and I know a lot of people think I am crazy to think this. I would like to loose even 15 pounds would make me healthier I think. I really need to start dedicating myself to exercising more. I do eat a bit healthier than I used to (ever since moving out of my parents house) but I really do need to exercise more. That's the plan! (and i'm stickin' to it?) =]

Dress up Halloween!

I haven't dressed up for Halloween in years. I always ended up working ever since i was 15. I never went to any Halloween parties or anything during the weekends. I am excited to say that this year I am going to dress up! I am going to dress up as a fairy which I am so excited about because I have always wanted to be a fairy.

I picked up a few things last night at Walmart for my costume which is exciting. I have to return the shirt which is too small! I absolutely hate returning things so hopefully it will be very painless! I don't even know if I have even returned anything in my life before. Oh wait - I did once and the women was so crotchady. I think that's why I don't want to return it. But it was a $13 shirt and I just can't throw away $13!

Don't worry I'll post lots of picures of me in my costume!

I'm off work soon - so exciting!

Wow today has just been super crazy so far. My sister called and I had to get phone numbers for her and then the phones starting ringing and people having crisis and everything happening at once!'

I'm heading off work early then Im' going to pick up Stephanie. We are going to bum around for a little while then head over to this haunted house in the woods thing where you walk through the woods and things jump out at you and all that jazz. I think it will be really fun!

I'm eating lunch!

Raking the Leaves

Raking the Leaves

When autumn comes around one thing that I do adore is raking the leaves. Some people hate raking the leaves but I get so much enjoyment out of it. Ever since I was a child it was such a great experience for me. Raking up the leaves then running and jumping into the piles. I helped Troy on the weekend do a little bit clean up in one of his clients lawns. He took this picture and I think it just sums me up at this time of year.

Happy Dance!~

SO It's Thursday! That means tomorrow is Friday - weekend here I come. Tonight I'm going over to Carla's and we are going to have a Grey's Anatomy Party and eat lots of yummy food! (REMEMBER REFRIED BEANS) Refried beans are totally my new obession. Even if you don't like beans, try them - they totally rock the house.

I'm heading off to Walmart later on tonight too to try and find some things for my fairy costume. I'm going to scam some needle and thread from work (I'm going to grab it after this) so I can make my costume all pretty-like!

Tomorrow Steph is coming over for girls night. Coconut rum and love.

I love having my name on things. These personalized pens are so adorable. I would love to order some for "Ashton's Art" that would be too cute. Maybe when I become more known though. That would definitely be a great idea!

Next Wednesday monring we are going to have a Halloween party for the participants at work. I am going to be in charge of the Haunted House and the children will be able to experience a variety of sensory things. We are going to have a draw to "win these painted pumpkins" and my co-workers gave me the job since I'm so "creative" (their words, not mine! :) I really like how they turned out. I may modge podge them so the paint doesn't crack - I have to work late tonight so I may test them out and see how they make out.

Christmas wishes

I think one thing I really am going to ask for for Christmas is a watch. I am constanlly looking at the time, or asking someone what time it is. I would really adore something simple yet elegant. These Skagen watches are so beautiful. I'll have to let me my mother know that I wouls like a watch. She said that for Christmas this year she is just going to focus on getting different gift certificates which is fine by me, so I can go and pick out things that I would like from my favourite stores.
It's exciting, yet scarey to think that November is almost here and that Christmas is just around the corner!

Blog of the Day!

I was totally PayPerPost’s Blog of the Day yesterday!

How insane is that! I have been with them since May and loving every bit of it. How great is that they have acknowledged my efforts and like my blog! I feel so special! Spread the blogging love I tell you, share the blogging love! You can visit the archives here and see my blog under 10-23!

This is exciting because it's great to know that more people are visiting my blog and seeing everything! I love you world.

I'm totally going to buy a mandolin!

Shop till you drop

I really need some sort of term life insurance. I don't have anything right now except some cancer insurance. If I loose 2 limbs, have a heart attack, get cancer or any of those lovely things I'll received one million smackers. But I dont' have anything super practice like health, dental, eye, you know - stuff I really need. I can't wait until I pay my loan off. Hopefully I won't be saying the same thing this time next year. I really hope that I will be able to pay it off my this time next year or even sooner. I really do need to call them and find out EXACTLY how much I owe them.

Talking about insurance and money... I really want to shop! There are so many things I want on etsy right now! I just can't control myself. There is something I think I am going to order for my sister. I hope she likes it because it's going to come all the way from Thailand!

Hey Rosetta!

So I have been so into music lately that I have been putting painting on a back burner - which is not good. I'm totally obessed with this new band I found called Hey Rosetta. They are from Newfoundland which makes me like them even more! Their music is really catchy. Some of their songs are more upbeat where some are nice and folky and slow which is totally my style. I'm in love with them and they are coming to Halifax on Saturday night and I really hope that I will be able to see them. I think I convince Troy to go but I just got off the phone with him and he is trying to get out of it I think. I hope I can go. They totally rock the house. I just need to do something "out there" and fun!

Tuesday night

So I popped over to Stephanies house for about an hour tonight. She called and asked if I could help her pick up her kitty at the shelter tomorrow but I have to work until 8:30pm .. ugh! I would have loved to help her pick it up - but it always seems that time isn't on our side. I lent out her Mallory's cat carring case though, which was nice. I watched a show with her called "Gossip Girl" - it was pretty good.

I am watching "Pushing Daisies" right now. It's like one of my favourite shows now. I just love the main characters. They are so adorable.

Mr. Yellow!

So I just listed this new aceo. I'm not sure how I feel about it but I do enjoy how the grass and the background came out. It's a new style for me. It's still my style but it's different you know? I'm watching Arrested Development right now and then I'm going to go across the street and mail off my aceos!

Mr. Yellow
Mixed Media on Book cover

To Do list:

  • mail out aceos
  • list new aceo on etsy
  • work on paintings
  • eat pizza
  • lounge
  • watch "Pushing Daisies" and "LA Ink"
  • call Troy
  • lounge
  • sleeeep

I have lots to do tonight. Mind you all of it is lesuire type activities but they are fun nontheless. I almost have my ACEO's ready to mail out, I just have to pop them in the envelopes and then off they go! I tried to get tickets last night to a masquerade music show on Saturday night but it didn't work out so well. I'll hopefully find a place sometime this week to buy them at because I'm so excited - it's going to be so "rad". :)

    Handy man/girl?

I really wish I was handy.

I wish I could repair things, power supply repair, internet, television repair, musical instruments, anything and everything really. I guess that's what Troy's around for. Totally joking. He is pretty handy though I have to admit. I enjoy being crafty though - that's something that he doesn't do. He took art as a course in highschool and I keep one of his carvings he did on my art desk - it's a "war fork" it makes me happy. It's just so - him - you know? :)
So I didn't get any painting done today but hopefully that will change for tomorrow. I was just so upset at myself all night for messing up the internet. I had to make myself happy so I went and bought HEALTHY FOOD (I spent $27). I can't believe I spent $6 on grapes - I'm going to have to eat them all up before they go bad. I tried not to look at how much stuff wanted - rather - but what I wanted. REFRIED BEANS! I'm excited about those for sure! I've been craving them all day. I have some pizza I have to eat up first. Vegetarian pizza =]

    Mr. Clean?

So I've heard that getting your colon cleansed is a good idea. Supposively it's healthy for you. Considering the grandmother of mine I never met died of colon cancer it's not the worse idea in the world. It really seems like it's becoming really big and now everyone's becoming more and more comfortable going to see people about getting procedures like these done. I don't know if I would even feel that comfortable to let someone to that to me. Giving birth is scarey enough to think about someone going "down there" doctor or no doctor!

    Hey Rosetta!

What the strangest evening I had! UGH!

I did it - I changed my room around and in the process I messed up the internet and the televsion. So I was going absolutely insane without the internet. I can live without the television - I have done it before but MY I cannot live without my beautiful internet!

SO I didn't even get to mail out my ACEO's today because I couldn't get online to get the addresses but they are definitely going to go out tomorrow! goodness!

I'm listening to Hey Rosetta! right now - I'm in love
So I have come to the conclusion that Monday's can be really brutal. I love my job but time always seem to go by so exremely slow. I may have ONE child to look after this afternoon and looking after one child is worse than looking after too many children.

I am hoping to list a new aceo tonight that I had finished up last week some time. I think I am going to do a sale on some of my aceo's as well but I may wait until the beginning of November to do that! So keep checking back! I have to mail out some ACEO's today actually! I almost forgot! Good thing I started rambling on about that or I would have never remembered!

So I was talking to my mom about creating a painting for her for Christmas so I think that I am going to start it soon. If i don't start it soon then I'll never have the time to get it completed for Christmas. They are going to do a secret santa thing at work here to so I think that I will create a painting for that. I think that would be really cute. I am trying to make some lunch now - it's in the oven. I think I have a new obession with refried beans. I think that I am going to get some for Thursday night when Carla and I have another Grey's Anatomy party!

So the rest of my weekend was pretty uneventful - but it was just nice to just relax and hang out with Troy. We did some raking and mowing for about two hours yesterday! I am going to have to totally clean the apartment today because the bathroom and my bedroom is really disgusting. I start to get freaked out when my room is really cluttered. I don't think that I am going to go home this weekend so I am going to do some wash this week.

I am hoping to get my painting in the mail today! I'm excited I really should get it this week at some point.

    paint it all up

So the two bar stools that I bought MONTHS ago are still underway. I have one almost finished I think I am just going to modge podge it and then maybe take some photos and put them up on flickr. I am going to try and get my other one underway and maybe actually paint things on that one. The one that is almost finished is just a little abstract with lots of black and bright colours! Maybe that will be my project for the week - to try and finish that up! I'm still home and will be heading back to Bridgewater soon. It gets so sad when the weekend comes to an end :(

    Saturday Night Special!

    Saturday Night Special

If any of your crazy people are around tonight I am having a Saturday night special at my etsy shop so come and check it out! To celebrate my 200th heart I am giving 20% off all orders before shipping. To promote my new prints I am going to give a FREE ACEO print (your choice) for every order! If you don't have an etsy account... well what are you waiting for! There are lots of remarkable finds and lots of Saturday night specials going on tonight so check them out in the forums. I hope to get one sale tonight! You can be that person haha!

    Clean house

Sometimes I do feel like a dirtbag. I need to clean the apartment up a little bit. My creation station is doing pretty good, but I really need to clean the bathroom and vacuum. Even though I don't think my sister has cleaned the bathroom once since I moved it, I get grossed out being in a dirty bathroom. I really need to clean out the microwave ovens and my room. I do allow my room to get messy to a certain degree but I really do need to get another shelf, or an actual bureau or something! I don't even have that much stuff in my room; it's small so i guess it just get cluttered. I definitely go through phases when it comes to these things.

    Saturday, saturday, saturday!

Last night was so fun! It was so nice to go out with some of my most favourite friends: Stephanie, Troy and Carla! Sue Johanson was so hilarious and she kept us in stiches the whole time. It was simply awesome.

I came back "home" this morning and helped mom sell food at the cattle sale. I made $50 - which is the only reason why I wanted to do if: for the extra cash. I know I will probably just hord it away but that's better for me because I am so antsy to try and pay off my student loan!

I am going to have shower soon and just hang out until Troy gets off work at 8:00pm. I listed another new aceo print!! I'm also getting antsy to sell something on etsy!

    Friday night sex show?

Tonight I am going with my most favourite people: Troy, Carla and Stephanie to see Sue Johanson. She's has her own show called "Talk Sex with Sue Johanson". I remember seeing her on the old degrassi and watching the junior high kids call her. She's ancient and brillant! I think she is going to be so interesting to listen to and see! I've heard she is so hilarious.

I am heading off work very soon and I am going to go and pick up Stephanie and then Carla is coming over and so is Troy then we will shimmy off to Dalhousie! I better go be productive so I can make the time go by!

I think it's very beautiful and so inspiring!

We were up in the balcony and we could see really well. It would have been really nice to be right down in front and see them - but I guess that can be next time!

I just got home from a viewing and discussion on anti-poverty. I have learned so much tonight it's insane. It's interesting to listen to people who have lived or are currently living on wellfare and how they are struggling to survive. There are a lot of stigma's in our culture that people on wellfare are lazy or just got out of drug rehab. It's sick that this is what society's view is.

It's great because I'm working in a place that can really help low income/wellfare families. Let's just hope that I am going to be able to stay there after Christmas!

I order some more of my "Lovely Love" prints too - because it has appeared to be fairly popular! You can check out all my aceo prints here!

So the Tegan and Sara concert totally rocked the house (or church rather) last night. I am going to post a photo soon I think. I love going to see people that I actually really enjoy, and it's nice that some more low key bands that I enjoy can come to this city. I love getting tickets online for things to - that's how I got the tickets for Tegan and Sara. You can get lots of tickets this website, including Miley Cyrus tickets and everything! I'm going to have to check out myspace and see if any other my favourite bands are going to come soon! I hope so!

Since I am living in an apartment right now (boo) I don't have much room to be creative so I have this little corner of the living room. It's not as grand as I would like it but I guess that happens. I didn't want to have it in my bedroom because that would be way too crammed.
I could always move it in and then my whole bedroom would be a creation station. I think I am going to redo my room soon - so that IS an idea :)

    Start of the afternoon

So I just finished up my lunch and now I guess you could say I'm a little bit more lively. The program that we have this afternoon is Baby Clinic. It's where mom's and/or Dad's come and socialize with other parents and their infants. It's a great program but I never know what to say to the parents. Some of the parents are my age, and some of them are much older than me. It's only for an hour and a half but it is a long hour and a half - but hopefully it will go by quickly so I will be able to go home and get ready for the concert!

I may have another NEW aceo to list today too! But I'm not sure if I'll have time to finish it up or not.

    Oh Wednesday!

So I have been having really busy day so far! My day is filled with lots of programming but I think the rest of the day is going to go by (hopefully) quickly.

I think tomorrow night I am going to go to the library and take part in a video and discussion about Children in Poverty. I think it could be very interesting. I think it would be nice for me to step out of my comfort zone and do something like this all by myself.

Tonight is my Tegan and Sara concert and I am so excited!

    Tuesday, October 16, 2007

So my co-worker and I spent like 45 minutes at work today trying to fix some lights. It didn't work out so well. We still didn't even get them fixed - we tried - but it just didn't happen. I'm not a handy man-girl at all. I wish I was more great at fixing things - but I guess not! =]

I am going to paint a little bit, watching LA ink and then head off to bed. Tomorrow is going to be really busy so I better get all rested up!

    Height Race

I'm really excited about a new listing I put up on etsy today! I haven't listed much other than prints lately so I'm really excited about my new ACEO. I finished it last night and I am quite content on how it turned out.

A friend I am chatting with on etsy chats: Emotional Oasis - told me that I should create a little story to go along with this aceo. I think that is a brillant idea. :)

    Height Race
    Acrylic and ink

My little corner of the world

So as the coldness approaches I start to get a little nervous about my car. I am actually quite impressed about how well it did last winter - it only gave me trouble with my spark plugs which was really nice. So i'm really hoping that it won't give me too much trouble. Having underground parking I think is going to be really nice though because it won't get too cold during the nights. I can't believe Winter is approaching so quickly.

I didn't even realize that I had a car spoiler - until Troy told me a few weeks ago. Does that mean I am hardcore? I hope! :D

    Goodbye Tuesday!

I don't know about this weather but it's really been hard on me this year. When I was younger the changing of the seasons never had an effect on me until now. Ever since autumn has come my eyes are always dry and my contacts have been bothering me. I even changed my contacts last week - hoping it would help but it didn't make a difference at all. It could be the solution I am using I really should change that and see if that makes a difference.

I'm almost off work! Today's programming went well. I have been so productive lately. I really wish I could stay here - let's hope!

    Monday, October 15, 2007

    What a week!

So I just found out from Facebook that Sue Johanson is going to be in town on Friday! I love how facebook is so informative because I wouldn't know about this venue any other way! I remember seeing Sue on the old degrassi when the kids would call into her radio show about sex questions - simply hilarious. To see her in person is going to be absolutely hilarious! I am so exciting. A local university is hosting her and it only costs like $2! I'm going to see Tegan and Sara on Wednesday, then Sue on Friday - so exciting.

    Things are looking up

    Art Store!

So I went down to the art store and OF COURSE the canvas sale was over. I did get a package of 8 canvas' though. I got a bunch of different sizes. I have gotten this package before and it's such a good price for the amount of canvases that you actually get. I've been imagining this one painting so I am going to start that tonight.

I also have to finish up my aceo's for the trade that I am doing on indiepublic. I am going to message everyone who is involved too and let them know who they are going to mail their's too. I said that I would do that today, so that's what I am going to do!

So my day has started out pretty good. The morning went by fairly slow but that was probably only because I had two children to look after. It was nice though not to be running around like a crazy person. I know that I will be running around a lot this afternoon.

I was suppose to work for tonight's program - but they cancelled it. It would have been nice to get the overtime hours but night programming is so brutual. When I get home I am just wiped out completely. It's going to be nice to go home and actually relax a bit.

    Sunday, October 14, 2007

    Oh Sunday

So it's been a really interesting weekend. Not the happiest weekend in the whole world, and it has been pretty short. It was nice to see Troy for at least one day. Troy has next weekend off - the whole weekend so I'll be able to see him then which is something to really look forward to.
I'm at my parents house right now waiting to eat supper.

I haven't had a chance to list much on etsy in the past few days. I have been trying to get things ready for the aceo swap that I am doing on the aceo group that I started on indiepublic. I am e-mailing out the addresses out tomorrow. I'll have to do it at night though because I have to work another 12 hour day tomorrow!

    Saturday, October 13, 2007

That's right. I didn't write in this blog yesterday- how insane is that?!

I usually write a million posts a day - but yesterday it just didn't happen. Work was busy, i left early came home for a bit and then went over to Reena's and visited with some friends. It was really nice to see them - I really needed that.

I am going to go back to Bridgewater tonight and I'm really excited to see Troy - I just feel so neglected lately by some people who I thought liked me. But I really guess not. I really need to learn how to just say "screw you - I don't need you" but that's really hard for me.

I slept in today. It was nice.

What a lovely weekend. I miss troy. Maybe I'll go home early - but he doesn't get off until 8:00pm :S

    Thursday - you surprise me.

First post of the day and the day is almost over! That's a first in a long time that's for sure!

Today was the strangest day. It was just different that what I ever experienced at work today. I did some organizing and cleaning during the programming. In the afternoon we went shopping, and when we got back no one was there (everyone was gone for some training). I did lots of odds and ends of things and finished up lots of projects. It just had a different feeling and atmosphere throughout the whole day.

I got a phone call right as soon as my lunch break started to. It was my friend Chad who I haven't seen in months. He was working just down the road (under the bridge) and asked if I wanted to go out for lunch. It was a very short visit but it was so lovely. It was great to see him even though he didn't have the best news to tell me. I'm glad he found me to confide in.

Tonight I went to Carla's and dropped off her little Pickle (new kitty - one of eedie-girl's). I think he is really going to love living there with her.

    What an eventful day!
    my oh my!

I'm thinking road trip (hopefully) this weekend.
Even if it's just by myself.

    Over the hump

So I got home at 9:00pm. Tonight went pretty good. It started off pretty well but the children were just wound for sound so they were a little bit crazy. It's really tough because the children should be at home in bed when they are at the program at night - but I guess you can't really help it if the mothers-to-be can only attend something like that at night time. It just makes it difficult for the parents and children.

I don't even want to think about work right now - but it's hard not to when I have to be back in tomorrow morning. Ugh I really should go to bed but then I'll feel like I have wasted my evening. I never did get any painting done - not enough hours or minutes in a day. It's hard to paint with lots of people around me - distracting me. I almost wish that I had gotten an apartment by myself. I am more independant than I thought. I like my "me" time I like being by myself.

    Creative withdrawl!

SO I'm not going to get home until 9:00pm tonight. That isn't super late but it is late for me considering I'm used to getting home around 5:00pm. I was feeling really negative about working tonight but I think it's not going to be to bad now. I'm going to end up not having as much children as I had thought which is really nice. I am not going to have anymore than five children, and I am going to have Jen working with me which is going to be lovely. I am going to go and eat my supper soon then I am going to have to start getting everything ready - like snack.

I thought having the long weekend I would have so much energy and I would be all ready to get through this short week but so far this week has been pretty brutual. It's going by semi fast - but still I find myself so tired all day long. I hope I'm not getting sick. I haven't even painted anything at all this week. I really am going through creative withdrawl!

Last night I had a terrible sleep. It was all because of two fuzzy furballs:

Kitties kept me awake all night. Now I know how adorable they are and everything but they can be so annoying!

This kittens are 8 weeks old and are ready for real homes. I brought back the grey one for my friend Carla. But Carla worked tonight and I work tomorrow night so I have to wait until Thursday to take little Hauns (that's the grey one's name) to his new home! The peach one (farthest to the right) has also come to live with us. I guess my sister wants to keep him. So these two kittens have kept me up all night and have been jumping on me all night. Hauns is trying to get on the computer as I write.

I know it's mean but I think I am going to lock out the kittens tonight because I have to work from 8:30am - 8:30pm tomorrow!

    Oh Tuesday!

So tonight actually wasn't that productive. I'm still awake so I can try and catch my LA ink show. I don't have any tattoos but I like to watch that show and dream about how hardcore I really feel inside. Okay - that's half a lie. I don't feel that hardcore. It's hard to feel hardcore when you sit around and listen to Joe Purdy all night. Even though he does look pretty hardcore - that does it for me!

I can't say that my evening was a total bust. I cleaned out my closet - which was a huge accomplishment! I still can't believe that today is Tuesday and that Wednesday is almost here! It's nice to have a shorter work week. The week I think is just going to fly right by! It's going to be exciting to see another weekend - I cannot wait.

    Sold my first ACEO print.

So I had a nice surpise when I checked my e-mail today! I had an online friend of mine- Angela purchase one of my aceo prints! I was wondering how they would do - so I was happy to see what with my aceo prints only being listed a few days one has already sold! It was such a nice pick-me-up! I had "sold" a few aceo prints but they were with trades, so they don't really count!

So I listed 2 8 X 10 prints tonight on etsy for $15 so it's going to be interesting to see how they do. I think they are priced reasonably. After doing some online etsy researching I would say the average price for an 8 X 10 is $15 and $10 for a 5 X 7. So I think mine are priced reasonably - it's going to be interesting to see how they do too!

    Lots of print love!

    Prints for sale!

I listed my last ACEO print earlier today on etsy today. I do have two 8 X 10's that I will have to list tomorrow when I get the photos from my camera. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with them. I have my ACEO prints for $3 - which is on a lower part of the scale when I was researching on etsy for what other people have theirs for. I haven't really sold anything since August which is frustrating but hopefully my luck will change once I get more things up for sale.

It's sad to think my weekend is almost over. I am going to try and make the best of tomorrow. I have tomorrow off from work because of the holiday! It's not going to be too bad since it's going to be a short week. I have to work Wednesday night - which isn't too bad and I'm getting lots of overtime saved up for Christmas time. I hope that they will be able to find the funds to keep me on - I really do enjoy my job :)

    Light the mood!

I love lighting. Don't you find that having pretty lighting really changed the mood and atmosphere of a place. I really want to get a tall lamp for my bedroom - I think that would just liven up the place and set a more relaxed mood. I do need to get more nail and hang up some more paintings in my room as well. I love the lamps on this quoizel lighting website. Ugh - they are just so beautiful! Maybe that's another thing I will put on my Christmas list! :) I know my list is getting pretty long - but I think I have room for a few more things!

    Thank you!

    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I know (I think) that most of my friends online are American so they don't have thanksgiving yet but here in Canada it's Thanksgiving weekend. I would love to say that I'm thankful for all my online friends and online artists that I communicate with! You guys are more friends to me than real life friends I have! Thanks so much you guys! (kiss)!

It's been a pretty relaxing weekend so far. I am waiting for Thanksgiving dinner to start. Troy isn't here to join in the festivities here but I will go back and see him tonight. It's going to be yummy food- he's really missing out! I had a real nice visit with a friend today to that I haven't seen in awhile. It was really nice to see her and visit with her. :)

So Troy came up last night and we went to Ramadan. It was really nice and the food was so good! One of my co-workers won 5 hours of free pool at Dooly's so she booked the room for last night. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go or not but we did head over until midnight. It was really nice and I got silly of course - it was great.

We went back over to Dtown this morning and moved a bunch of furniture back over to work. It was nice because I will be able to clock that time in for work which is really nice and Troy is going to get $25 for the short trip over. We went over and got some breakfast food - now we are just lounging for the rest of the day.

We are going to head back home at some point this afternoon though. :)

I'm going to go and list some more ACEO PRINTS!

    I love mail

Since ordering some things on etsy I check my mailbox everyday! I did get some lotions yesterday for part of my spa baskets for Christmas. I can't wait to go and pick up some epson salt to make some bath salts, and buy some baskets to gather everything up together. It's going to be exciting to see everything come together. I wish that I could have my own Mailboxes at the end of my driveway but it's hard to do that in apartment living right now. I can't wait until I can have my own little cabin in the woods. Such a dream!

    Friday! oh friday oh friday!

Today was so emotionally draining. This last 24 hours has been emotionally draining! Some things are going down at work that I am confused about and frustrated about but it's really hard to tell what the outcome is going to be - it just makes me stressed and sad and loose my appetite.

BUT - I am going to the Ramadan celebration tonight for work and that should be really fun. Even though I'm not really in a festive mood anymore I think it will be a good time. There is going to be lots of yummy new foods and lots of learning and education about Muslim culture. I love learning about new cultures I find it fascinating!

I'm waiting now for Troy to come - he's such a good supporter when it does come to these things. He's going to come and then we are going to hop on over to the celebration. There is a staff party after but I'm not sure if we will go or not.

I have listed two ACEO PRINTS on etsy go and check them out~

My boss last night encouraged me to take some time off this morning so that's what I did! I got lots of sleep, got up made some chocolate chip pancakes and then headed off to work this morning around 10:00am!

I also took lots of photos of my prints today! But I forgot my camera so I am not going to be able to list any of them today or tonight (because I have to work tonight!) But I will for sure get them up during this weekend. I really hope they do well and once I get some more paypal funds I am going to order more!

    Exciting Friday! :)

    Time flys?

So I am so excited that I got some mail today that I was waiting all week for! I finally got my prints in the mail today! So i get to list them on my etsy website! I can't take any photos of them tonight thought because I can't take photos of my artwork at night - it just doesn't work.

I am going to try and list a few of them tomorrow though - but I do have to try and remember to space things out. I do need to buy some things plastic sleeves on ebay for my prints though.

So much to do - so little time!

This is my 500th post! (including drafts- sorry)! Isn't that insane! I can't believe this last couple months how much I have been posting. I don't even know if many people even read my ramblings - but that's not what's important to me.

Oh what a day! Today was pretty good - Family Play Group where I played guitar, and then this afternoon was lots of running around, planning, meeting, lots and lots to do. Then I just got home from an annual general meeting and I won't make much comment of that only to say that right now I am self medicating

... and wating for Grey's Anatomy to come on!

    Listed :)

I couldn't take it anymore I had to list this ACEO that I finished up last night. I was going to save it for my ACEO swap that I am doing through my ACEO indiepublic group but I just couldn't take it anymore. I did finish another ACEO tonight that I AM going to save for the swap though. I will take a photo of it and show it on my blog though :)

I love the dark and stormy

    coupon love!

Once again I am getting so excited to do more Christmas shopping! I am making a lot of money on the internet lately and that's going to help me SO much!

Some random guy came to my door today and offered me some coupons and a free movie pass as long as I signed up for a newspaper company for at least one month. I agreed - because he was trying to raise money for something ( I can't remember ). It was some sort of sports thing I think. I am going to sign up for at least a month because I am going to save so much money on my coupons and a free movie pass. The month subscription doesn't even pay for the whole movie pass. It's good to me. I love this too. It's so awesome. I found this really neat Art Gazebo website too - it's so interesting! I love finding new art things. And this coupons for Dell is really going to help when hopefully i can get my computer after Christmas sometime!!

    ACEO swap!

I'm getting excited about an ACEO swap that I am doing on the ACEO group that I created on

There are 8 people including myself who are going to create two aceo's and mail them out and inreturn get two new aceo's mail to them! I think it's going to be really fun. I'm glad that there are only 8 people so far and that there will not be that many people because it would take me way too long to try and figure out who is going to send to who. I'm going to try and do it as randomly as possible.

It's hard not to list my new aceo's on etsy but to save them for the swap!

If you want to join go to indiepublic and seach ACEO group! :)

Tonight was a really productive tonight. I got some ACEO's started, and I cleaned, cleaned cleaned the apartment. Well I didn't clean my room, but I clean the bathroom - but that was quite that accomplishment for me. I am going to try and tidy up my room tomorrow night after I get home from the annual general meeting. I've never been to a meeting like this one before so It's going to be really interesting to see what happens!

I've been told it's pretty boring, so I guess I should prepare myself. I guess I am going to take my lunch and supper with me to work, because I'm not going to be able to go home before I go to the meeting.

    Wonderful Wednesday!

Today is such a cute day so far.

This morning I had my formal evaluation for work. I couldn't believe it - my boss was so kind and sweet. She is trying to get me hired on after Christmas (which i really don't know if that's going to happen or not). She said I was "too good to loose." She's just so sweet and had such nice things to say to me! It was such a lovely way to start off my day!

Then we hopped over the bridge and went to St. Joe's resource centre and picked up lots of fun goodies. The week has been really nice so far. I'm really enjoying it!

I am going to have my lunch now! =]

    busy me?

It's almost 7:00pm and I feel like I haven't even done anything. I feel like I have just been sitting around - mind you have just been sitting around on the computer (i'm such a dork)! I think I am going to make another post or two in here and then I am going to finish making my supper and then hopefully do some aceo painting so I can do some more listing. By the time the end of the week comes I am not going to have anytime to do anything when it comes to art and listing on etsy.

Sometimes I feel busy. I usually feel busy. I think I am going to clean a lot tonight too - I really don't like living in mess. I can go a little bit - but then I start to go a little crazy.

When I was younger my parents has this ridicously huge gargage (bigger than my house actually). It was just these past few years that they actually started to invest in some garage storage cabinets and start organizing. I really like the wood ones that are on the website - they were really cute.

    Almost Humpday!

So I did list one thing today on etsy. I listed a collage paper pack $5 for 50 pieces. I think that's a pretty sweet deal! Hopefully I can sell a few things so I can go etsy crazy and buy some awesome things for Christmas gifts.

So it's Tuesday already which is exciting - It's almost Wednesday and tomorrow is going to be pretty relaxed at work. We are going to go on a little mini road trip over to the city to a development centre. It should be really fun - i've never been there before.

Last night made me happy - I watched "The Breakfast Club" - it was glorious!

To list or not to list!

I get some things listed on etsy but then things expire! I think I am starting to get ahead in the game and I don't. I have decided that onces some of my old things expire and if they do not sell - I will not relist them. Maybe some of my ACEO's I will - but I'll have to wait and see. I am going to list some of my older aceos's for cheaper like $4 - $5 as part of a "sale" I'm going to have to try and get some money for Christmas!

I am also going to be listing some supplies. I have a lot of collaging supplies and beads that I am going to try and get listed this week (and some of it today hopefully). Once I get that stuff listed hopefully all will be well! When my prints come in - I will list those too!

This next week or so is going to be LISITNG MADNESS! Watch out :)

    Real life

It's kinda exciting that our building (at work) is for sale. It's fun to see realtor's come in and check out the place with people. It's scarey to think we don't have a new location yet - but I still think that they have lots of time to look and find something that really works for them. Or to find some land to build on - that would be fun too!

I love weekends. (until they are over)

I had such a lovely weekend. Even though at moments I had time to relax - and other times I was busy out of my tree it was lovely. When I was helping Troy mow lawns yesterday morning I fell down, and now my arm is still sore today. It's the wierdest feeling. It's really achy :S. I'm sure it will go away in a few days though.

I didn't end come coming back to the city until this morning. Troy wanted me to spend the time so I finally agreed. I drove back at 6:00am this morning and it was brutual. When I first woke up I wasn't toooo tired, but then it hit me while I was driving. It was so tired - I had a blink my eyes so much just to keep them awake. I had enough time this morning to stop by the apartment and bring up my laundry.

It was a nice day at work though. Pretty lovely and productive. This week is going to be nice when it comes to working nights. Thursday night I have a meeting, and Friday night I have to work at the Ramadan celebration - so it's going to be fun!

    Las Vegas Baby

I watched the movie "Knocked Up" last night with Troy. It was actually really cute, and funny. At one point the boyfriend and husband ran off to Las Vegas. It was really cute actually they got all sad when they went back to their hotel room because they missed their wife/girlfriend. Even though Las Vegas can be so tacky, at the same time it's really beautiful. There are so many fabulous hotels like, Golden Nugget Las Vegas, Treasure Island, Paris, etc.
