hump day!

I'm so excited that it's humpday - Wednesday! I have been trying to get a lot of little tedious tasks done this week. I've been trying to write up thank you cards for those you helped donated money to my trip. I actually found like I had so much energy when I was there - walking everywhere, just on the go all the time, and when I got back to felt so sluggish. I dont' want to get out of bed in the morning. Maybe I'm not eating healthy enough. That could be a problem. I do need appetite suppressants when it comes to chocolate and ice cream that's for sure! If it's in front of me, I can't contain myself. I'm going to try and work harder though, and start to really slack off on that stuff. We'll see!!! I'll have to keep a log or a journal or something.

summertime!

My baby girl Esme. I haven't posted a photo of my Esme-girl since I brought her home our first night. But she's seven months old (almost) now and I thought I would put a recent photo of her. While I was away in Africa Troy took her to get fixed, which was nice. I always have a specific vet that I like to go to but it's far from where I live so that was good. I'm still waiting to hear back from Naomi to see if she is coming here for the summer and what have you! :)

Rv camping!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go rv camping. It's too bad Troy works like crazy in the summertime or we could go on a little road trip, that would be wonderful. Maybe in the autumn I'm thinking. I have never been rv camping before, only tent and cabin type camping. I would love to go across Canada in an RV. Troy's brother and his family did that last summer, it must have been so amazing. Very expensive i'm sure, but worth every penny! Maybe in a few years...

Life!

I hate trying to figure out my life. Art is my life. Love is my life. I enjoy my job but I want to move back to my hometown to start a family so I don't know when and how this will all take place. I want to go back to school as well and take a Deaf studies course I just don't know when yet. So many things to think about. I'm hoping to finish up some paintings sometime soon! So I'll have photos of them up here. I have a few little projects on the go so we'll see :)

shop around

I'm 22. I feel younger yet older and people tell me that I'm an "old soul". I really do take that as a compliment. I don't need any wrinkle creams yet. I always come across websites that discuss and rate products. Here is a website for the best eye creams out there, prices, pros and cons. This day in age you really need to shop around and read up on reviews before spending a lot of money on something. It's ridiculous how over priced some things are these days. I always check out websites like these, even for movies and such. Maybe I'm too frugal!

camping!

It's almost the weekend and I'm so excited.

We have been going back to the camp every weekend so far this spring. I have to help my mom for a bit on Saturday but then I thin I'm going back to the camp that night. It's so nice and peaceful back there. I even made a fire all by myself last weekend. I was so proud of myself! It's a fun cheap way to spend the weekend. You can have fun but not spend a lot of money. We usually just take back a little bit of food stuffs and whatnot. I wish we could just leave food back there. But the mice will get in it and everything. I hope to do a lot of swimming this summer as well. At work we have been planning for some summer programming, and it's been great. I'm really looking forward to this summer!

travelling bug again and again

My co-worker just told me that she's saving up to go to the dominican! How exciting. I get so envious because I just want to keep travelling too~ A lot of people with children around here seem to go on Orlando vacations. When I was younger it seemed like that's where all my friends would go. There are a lot of games and amusement parks there for children. It defintely would be an interesting place to visit! I thought it would have been always fun to go, but that's okay, i'll wallow! I hopefully have my whole life to go travelling! I just have such an itch!

Naomi

My friend from Kenya, Naomi! May be coming to live with me this summer. I'm so excited. She has never been out of the country so Canada is a huge jump for sure. I think she'll find our North American culture very interesting. I have to go and fax some stuff for her visa right now. I really hope it works out. She wants to volunteer with the organization I work for. She studies Early Childhood Development at university in Nairobi so we have lots in common! :)

life circumstances

Life has been weird since I got back from Africa.
Africa seemed like a dream - like it didn't even happen. Like I didn't even go there. I only have pictures to look at and know for sure that yes - i was there.

I want to get in shape. Well better shape. I've been going to walks this week. I don't want to go to a gym or anything. I wouldn't mind starting to jog or bike. I've been reading about atro phex. I want to be organic and use no medications, but I'm glad that there is stuff like this out there for people who want to use meds to help them along. I'm growing herbs! I want to learn how to make herbal teas!!! So exciting. There are so many things I want to do. So many things I want to experience.

Back from Kenya

You may have noticed that I haven't written very much, and that's true. I was away in KENYA!! I returned April 27th, 2009, which was 2 weeks ago but i'm just finally getting myself settled into my regular routine. I volunteered at a primary school. It was really amazing. There were 20 volunteers from Canada, England, USA, Germany, Japan and Kenya. It was a huge cultural experience that's for sure. It's really put my life into a different (huge) perspective. Here are two photos from the trip. If you have me on facebook I have some photos on there as well.

sickness

I've been recently hearing more and more about mesothelioma. I guess it's the form of cancer that you can get when you have been exposed to asbestos. I know there have been many cases around here, but I'm not sure how many exactly. I know people get so freaked out when they hear about these things. I know the swine flu has been crazy lately and more and more people are getting diagnosed. I'm coming down with something - sore throat, cold? I'm not sure. I guess I should look up the symptoms of swine flu myself :S
