new jobbie

I got a new job at work! I don't start quite yet, soon, but not yet :) It should be very good. It's nice that i get to keep all of my own insurance and everything, i don't like having to go through other places and get life insurance quotes and all that jazz. it's annoying. It takes time having to research something i'm not very good at in the first place.

I've been doing a craft show all weekend. it's been pretty good so far. I'm doing at 3 more shows, so i'm excited about that. hopefully i'll be able to save some money! I'll post some photos on here soon. Don't forget to join the facebook group: thejumpingcrow :)

wool balls

Oh dear. As most of you know i haven't posted as much as in the summer or spring but i'm feeling better and excited to write about some new projects that i have been working on even though i have been off ill. Here is a photo of some baby toys that i have been trying to complete as of late. These are wool balls made with 100% wool, felted with many different designs. Sorry for the sad photo, i'll try and post a better one soon.

busy bee

Apartently i've been loosing weight, no fat burners for me thank you! We'll see if I can keep it up. haha. Half joking. I'm excited about the prospect of a part-time job! An art friend of mine asked me if i was interested in doing a couple workshops in the new year at the store she works as, so we'll see what happens. I need to write some "new year's resolutions". I have never done this before but i think i'd like to start!

Nocture: Art at Night

On Saturday Night I went to an event called Nocture Halifax: Art at Night. This is the second year for this event, I went last year and was so excited when i found out it was happening again this year.

I tried my best to map out a route for some friends and I, but it was difficult. Nonetheless we had a grand time strolling the streets of Halifax. We saw some really great galleries: Viewpoint, 1313 Hollis, Argyle Fine Art and so much more. We also had an opportunity to see some wonderful installations. We viewed Tanya Davis (a local singer-songwriter) do some poetry/story readings, circus acts and fire show, dance shows at Halifax Dance and more. It was really great. I was just sad that I couldn't see everything. I hope next year they make it 2 nights!

new car?

I've been looking for a new car? (Yes a question marks belongs there). But I'm just not sure what I'm going to do yet. I want one, and mine is making it's way out (to the dump in my opinion) but i don't have that just income to be able to afford it. A ferrari would be nice haha, can you imagine me working with Ferrari parts on a car. I hate anything fancy or new, i'm just afraid i'm going to break it. i would really like to have a JEEP Wrangler. That is my dream.

new clothes?

People have been telling me lately that it looks like i've been loosing weight? I haven't taken weight loss supplements, exercised a lot more then i usually do, haven't eaten more healthy (try hard to do this all the time). But I don't know if i have or not. I would like to go shopping for some new clothes. I have zero jeans now, they are all roughed up. I haven't bought jeans in about 3 years. that's pretty sad isn't it. It would be nice to get NEW clothes, but i'll probably end up at the village. (value village) :)

nuthatch love

I thought I posted a photo of this, but I guess I didn't! Here is a picture of me (well, my hand) feeding a nuthatch. At a local park you can feed the birds (chickadees and nuthatches) as well as the chipmunks right out your hand. I took this photo a few weeks ago, but we went to the park for a walk today and fed the birds. I took my friends Stephanie; she had never fed birds before. It was very lovely. I love the birds so much, especially the friendly ones.

job? school?

I applied for a new job! Wish me luck. I had my interview, not overly happy with it, but we'll see what happens. I always find the "getting a job" process really interesting. Like, employee background checks and learning how people handle situations. Learning how to get along with your coworkers. (Yes I say, "learn" how to). It's just interesting. I want to go back to school in a few years. So I am looking forward to that. I'm going to save up some money first.

funky hair?

Not sure what I'm going to do with my hair. I know... crisis or what! my hair have been pretty healthy lately, no hair vitamins for me! I haven't dyed my hair in a long time, a few years (3)? actually. That's pretty decent but i'm always itching to do something funky to it. I don't mind how long it is now, but it is getting and becoming a pain. So i may get it cut again soon. I haven't got it cut since the beginning of July. Any funky hairstyles out there? post them!
